I had a friend approach me asking to build them a couple of picnic tables for their Air BnBs, sure no prob tell they wanted one that was folding

What I liked about these outdoor bench plans was the contour in the seat and the narrow slats used for the surface. It looked like it would be comfortable and it is! I built it using salvaged lumber from a shipping crate.

This was a surprisingly easy project to complete. Only took about 4 hours after all the materials were assembled. I plan to sand and seal the table. Very happy with the results!

I increased the height and angled the legs for stability for my older parent who has trouble getting in and out of chairs

Followed these directions except for the arms, used 1x6 for the arms. Total cost around $120 for all 4 chairs. Great design, extremely sturdy, very comfortable.

Easy and straightforward to make. Used pressure treated pine. Stain was Cabot oil-based Redwood. The only modification was a small extra brace under the bench. Gives a bit more support and looks nice.

Very simple and quick half day project that was my very first wood project and got me into woodworking now. I found a picture of it when I built it years ago. Thanks for the inspiration and turn on into the art of working with wood.
